In 2020 he stepped into the driver’s seat with the release of his self-produced debut project Voices EP. Later that year, he recorded on Netflix’s Ma Rainey's Black Bottom under the leadership of Branford Marsalis. In 2023 he was featured on the Grammy-nominated record by the Mardi Gras Indian funk band The Rumble - Live At The Maple Leaf Ft.
